Gift Your Kid A Unique Child Gift To Make Them Feel Special!

All kids are quite precious creations of God - there is no denying that. But do we make them special and precious enough? Most of the times, we are too embroiled in our own activities and tend to ignore our kids. However, we can easily make up for such moments of our selfishness. And that is by gifting them a gift.

Now here's the catch though. Children cannot be given just about any gift. If you go to the store and pick up something on your way back from work, it is quite likely that your kid would not appreciate that. Kids are quite clever nowadays - and if you are able to give them a unique child gift, they will be sure to reciprocate in good measure.

For whatever it is worth, selecting the right child gift idea is not quite an easy task to do. But one thing is certain - the Internet is much better for searching such unique gifts than toy stores. On the Internet, you are sure to find more ingenious and creative ideas. People with stores for kids' toys online devote a lot of time in making great concepts that kids would appreciate. This is much better than physical toy stores which will invariably have factory mass produced toys. Now, which child is going to appreciate having a gift like that?

If you look at some of the unique children's gift ideas that are floating around the Internet lately, you will quite well understand what I mean. Take the example of the personalized child book. It surely makes for an ideal gift. You have these books with superheroes like Batman, Superman, Spider-man, Ironman, anyone you want, or comic and fairytale characters like Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Thumbelina, etc. etc. and even Santa Claus! But the special thing is that you can include your kid as a character in these books. Your kid's name will be there in the book, your kid will play a role in the story, and in fact, your kid's friends will be there too... by name! This is a relatively novel concept, but it is certainly being well liked by kids and their parents alike.

Special gift baskets for children are also en vogue. You will not find these at the toy stores, but if you hunt online, you will find some real eye-popping ideas. There are comic book gift baskets for children, or cookie and chocolate baskets. A very hot-selling gift basket is one with tiny action hero figurines and a personalized child book in it. This is a sure hit will all kids. If you know which action hero the kid likes, you can customize and personalize the basket according to that action hero. Or you can have a toy gift basket for the kid too. Gift baskets for children are good ideas because they contain a whole lot of goodies that can keep the kids engaged for a long time.

And if you are really in the verve to perk up your kid's mood and give them an exceptional gift, then think of a Disney World trip for them. Or better still, book a vacation for your whole family there. Disney World is not as expensive as you think, but the most important point is that your entire family - especially the kid - will have some real unforgettable moments there.

So, the next time you are thinking of cheering up your kid with a gift, do not settle with just any run-of-the-mill gift. Conjure up a unique idea and surprise your kid. The smiles, giggles and dimples you will see on them will be the best 'thank you' you will ever have heard.

From a child; standpoint, the fact that these action figures are often wrapped in extremely popular story lines, attractive accessories and features and also the fact that they can use these action figures to create any sort of story line and play, makes for the one and only reason that kids live them so much. They often carry around their favorite Action Figures and play with them whenever they find the opportunity. As such, these Action Figures may also include military and combat figures which add even more to the thrill that playing with these toys entail. Characters from famous movies, cartoons and TV show are also very popular with children. As such, it can be seen that there is no fixed theme or type that these figures follow. They can be humans, aliens, robots, cars, and anything else that can catch the attention of the child. Also, depending on the quality and the functionality, these action figures can be equipped to perform a variety of tasks. With the addition of electronics they can be programmed to say pre recorded things, automate movement and also operate weapons and so on. As such the extent to which these figures are movable s basically dependent on the type of the toy and the quality. AS such, there are several lines of these Action Figures and they can also be extremely varied in their details and sizes. Collectors dream of owning them, kids fantasize about having them, overall they are extremely popular and extremely coveted. >

Having a 1st birthday party for your child at home means a lot of work, you will have to keep in mind that some children are lactose intolerant and may not be able to eat the cake and other bread items. Therefore, you will need to cater some dairy free foods too. Here is a simple dairy free 1st birthday cake recipe that everyone can enjoy.

What you will need for the chocolate cake recipe:

2 cups of rice flour

1 cup of cocoa powder

1 tablespoon of baking powder

tablespoon of salt

1 cups of dairy and soy free shortening (you will get at any store)

2 cups of sugar

4 eggs

1 cups of almond milk or rice milk

cup of maple syrup or mixed fruit jam

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Method:

Preheat the oven to 350F or 180C.

Sift together the rice flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

Mix the sugar and shortening together using a blender for 3 minutes (you will get a fluffy mix at the end).

Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and whisk until fluffy.

Add the eggs to the sugar-shortening mix and combine well to get a viscous mix.

Add the vanilla extract and maple syrup to the mix, along with the almond milk.

Now add the dry ingredients and mix using a blender on maximum speed. There should be no lumps in the mix.

Pour the batter in the cake tin (greased) (if you are using silicone mold then there is no need to moisten).

Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is firm and the cake is spongy.

Remove from the tin and let it cool at room temperature.

To prepare the dairy free icing you will need:

2 cups of powdered sugar

cup of dairy free margarine

cup of almond milk

cup of cocoa powder

teaspoon of vanilla extract

Method:

Use an electric mixer to blend the margarine and sugar.

Add the almond milk, cocoa powder and vanilla extract and let the mixer do the job to make spreading more consistent.

Decorating the cake:

Slice the cake in two parts horizontally.

Mix some cocoa powder with hot water and gently sprinkle the cocoa liquid on the bottom layer and the top layer. This will keep the cake moist.

On the bottom layer, spread some of the frosting.

Place the other layer over it and cover with frosting on all sides.

Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.

If you enjoy decorating cakes or cupcakes, you know that there are certain cake decoration supplies that you need to keep on hand. But, let's say your child comes home from school, and announces that you have just been volunteered to bring a load of cupcakes to the next open house, which happens to be tomorrow!

Most parents have been faced with this dilemma at least once. But, there is no reason to get stressed or exasperated by your last-minute "assignment." Here are a few creative cake decorating techniques that will have you feeling more confident in minutes!

OK. So you probably already have the ingredients you need to whip up a quick buttercream frosting. Or you have a package of store-bought icing. No problem. You also have a few boxes of cake mix handy, which you keep around, "just in case."

So, today is that "just in case" day! But, because you really do enjoy decorating cakes, you refuse to just slap some frosting on some cupcakes and throw them in a box.

You want your display to be eye-catching! And why not? There is probably a reason why you are the person who was "volunteered" for cupcake duty.

This is where we bring in some unofficial cake decoration supplies you have hanging around your own yard or garden. And you might not have even known it!

First, think of the time of year. If it's autumn, you can line a tray with colorful leaves, and arrange fall flowers around and in between each cupcake.

In keeping with the autumn theme, you can make a quick stencil or cut-out from a lightweight cardboard in the shape of a maple leaf, and frost each cupcake in the shape of the leaf.

For winter theme, you can gather some pine cones or spruce branches and line the tray in the same way you did with the autumn leaves. If you happen to have candy canes lying around the house, you can add those to the display as well.

The same goes for spring and summer themes. Use whatever flowers and leaves that are in bloom at the time. Even dandelions and clover from the lawn can look absolutely beautiful among bright green leaves!

If you happen to have some checkered napkins and baskets, you can make a quick "picnic theme" display.

Depending on where you live, you can find wonderful additions to your cache of cake decoration supplies. For example, sea shells and sand, river stones, and gourds.

And, once you begin to look around the house, you'll likely find other items you can add as well, such as ribbons, tissue paper, wrapping paper, various seasonal decorations, scraps of pretty material, colorful dinner napkins, etc.

If you find yourself in a pinch and don't have a lot of standard cake decoration supplies like the decorator tips for roses or piping, don't panic. There's nothing wrong with taking a butter knife and swirling some of that simple frosting on the top of the cupcakes without fanfare. Not all cake decorating techniques need to be technical!

Take a look around the kitchen that you can also use that you might not have ordinarily thought of using on the cake or display. Do you have mini-marshmallows? Chocolate chips? Some raspberry or other jam? These can be used as toppings as well.

It's not a bad idea to keep a list of everyday items that you have around the house that you'll be able to call on when you find yourself in a pinch or faced with a last-minute "cupcake duty." With a little imagination, your "last-minute" efforts can look as though you prepared for at least a week!
