Your Guide to Events Around the World This Summer

Norway

Venture to Bergen this summer for the Nightjazz Festival. The festival held from May to June will see over 60 concerts hosted at the former sardine factory and other venues dotted throughout the Nordic beauty of a city. Visitors are likely to experience a mix of jazz, rock and folk. Music plays an important part in Norway's heritage and modern culture so performances are of a really high standard.

Bergen itself is well worth a visit. Deemed the "Gateway of the Fjords" you can imagine the stunning views spanning across the rugged terrain. Its narrow streets and charming houses will charm visitors instantly. Locals are friendly and know how to cook mouthwatering seafood dishes.

Make sure you hop on at least one boat tour around the local area to take in the best views.

The Philippines

If you're a sporty, outdoorsy type then head to the Philippines this summer to take part in the Tour of Hope Philippines or join in by cheering along the hardworking cyclists. It's an annual event held from May to June to raise awareness of cervical cancer and get some funds along the way. Hundreds of cyclists hop on their bikes to tackle the 500km journey between Manila and Baguio. The atmosphere is uplifting as health officials are joined by other keen advocates for the cause. With the route predominantly uphill it's no easy feat.

Take the opportunity to explore the Asian island state. Popular attractions include the Chocolate Hills, Paco Park and Cebu.

United Kingdom

Though everyone's talking about the Olympics and Paralympics taking place in London and other cities across the UK from July to September, it's actually not the only big event of the year. Ever heard of Big Dance Week? Well it's taking place this year from July the 7th to 15th all across the country. Visit the dedicated website to find out where you could be putting on your dancing shoes to join in the fun. The festival is expected to be the biggest celebration of its kind ever held in the UK.

Some of the highlights include the Big Dance Pop-Up Cinema, Dancing Voices dance and choir project for the elderly and the grand finale Big Dance at Trafalgar Square in London.

As many of the concerts, workshops and similar events will be held in London hesitate no more and book yourself a central hotel in Westminster, Soho or other nearby neighbourhoods.

World of Warcraft Beginners Guide

Well I decided to put a basic World of Warcraft guide for beginners together that if you follow it, you should level up much quicker and play your character much better. Mostly I will be talking about getting enough gold to get the things that you will need and ways to play more efficiently which will get you more experience letting you level up faster.

If you are familiar with any World of Warcraft type game you know that you can simply fight enemies, loot what they drop and then sell the item's for money at a shop or auction house. In the World of Warcraft this is called grinding. I don't particularly like to "grind" but when your just starting a new character, it can be a good way to make some money. The key to successful grinding is to find a spot that has lots of creatures that are not to hard to defeat so you can go a long time just fighting and looting.

Using the World of Warcraft professions is another great way to make some money when you are starting a new character. There are two basic types of primary professions in World of Warcraft. One type is called a Gathering profession. This is just as it sounds, the gathering of items to be sold or used to create something else with. The second type is called a Production profession. These profession's take items and change, alter or combine them to create a new item.

If you plan on using profession's to make money be sure to choose the right profession that will benefit your characters class the best. Even the race that you choose can help certain profession's, making your character more skillful at that particular profession.

Playing solo rather than in a group will let you keep all the money and items that can be looted. This sounds great on the surface but can be very hard to do if your not careful. If you prepare well and solo properly, it can be very lucrative playing solo. Be sure to bring plenty of supplies with you. You don't want to have to keep returning to town for supplies when you could be fighting monster's. Most importantly try to fight monster's that are a little bit lower in level than you are. This will make it less likely that you would die and you will still get decent dropped item's.

There will be times where it will be wise to team up with other players in order to get past more difficult situations. When you do this, try to keep the size of the group as small as possible, maybe 2-3 other players so you don't have to share to much of the loot. When possible try to team up with other players that are at least 5 levels higher than you. They will be able to defeat your enemies much quicker and will tend to leave behind lesser item's that you can grab and then sell.

I hope you liked my little World of Warcraft beginners guide and have gotten something from it. Game on!

Want to create the best looking birthday cake for your child's next birthday party? There are a number of steps that you can follow to make sure that you create the perfect cake each and every time. Here is a simple cake decorating guide that you can use to create the best looking cake possible for your kid's upcoming party.

1. Baking the cake. This is probably the easiest step of them all because all you have to do is follow the baking instructions that are provided with the cake mix that you purchased. Sometimes cakes can end up being a little dry. If you want to avoid this, consider adding a tiny bit more of some of the wet ingredients that are used in preparing the cake. One great way that you can increase the moistness of your cake is by adding another egg to the recipe. When the cake has finished cooking, allow it to cool overnight. Consider placing the cake in the refrigerator in order to achieve maximum cooling results.

2. Ice the cake. Before you attempt to do any decorating, make sure you ice the cake completely and smooth out any lumps and bumps that might exist. This initial icing layer should be allowed to cool before you continue with the drawing process. Again, place the cake in the refrigerator in order to let the frosting set up firmly.

3. Prepare your drawing tools. Having a well organized work space with your drawing tools ready and waiting will help make the cake drawing process go much more smoothly. Place all of your drawing accessories and tools in one place, place the cake decorating bags in another, and place the excess colored icing in another. Consider placing your cake decorating bags in tall glass jars, tip end down, to keep them organized and prevent icing messes.

4. Create the easiest decorations first. Draw borders and other large items first since these will be the easiest items to draw. Large bottom borders, top borders, and other large items can be drawn on in order to provide a starting point for other more detailed decorations and drawings.

5. Practice on other surfaces. Before you draw directly on the cake, consider drawing on another surface in order to get the drawing or decoration just right. When you are confident that you have it down, then go ahead and draw on the cake. You can use a cookie sheet or another flat surface as a practice area for your drawings. After each practice attempt, simply scoop up the icing with a spatula and place it back into the cake decorating bag.

6. Use accessories. There are plenty of common kitchen utensils and tools that can be used to make great looking designs. You can use forks, spoons, knives, spatulas, measuring cups, and many other common kitchen items to make creative and original designs for your birthday cake masterpiece. You can also use other items such as candy, nuts, decorating sprinkles, and many other items to create a perfectly decorated cake for your child's birthday party.
