How Strange Can a Car Really Get?

For most of us, we have all seen some sites in our lives that strike us as being really strange. One of the most intriguing strange sites is that of a really weird car. It seems that creative people always want to come up with something new and unusual. An old bus was a little bit more unusual because it had a VW van body anchored to the top of it. One has to admit that this is creative and certainly is one strange car.

Talking about weird cars, we really can't leave out the international pickup car that was once seen in a July parade. It's an ongoing intriguing piece of creativity. Basically, it is covered in memorabilia from various Nevada casinos and if it has been in the casino then more than likely, you are going to see it on this strange car.

If one were to travel around the world there is no doubt that in almost every major city, one could find at least one strange looking car. One of the things that have to be remembered though is that each country and city has regulations as to what can and cannot be put on a vehicle. Some countries are more liberal than others are. Obviously, we can see by some of the vehicles that we have talked about.

One of the inspirations for making these weird vehicles simply comes down to not wanting to put the money into the vehicle to refurbish it and yet it still has some great features like running well. It's just the looks that are so bad and so rather than go to the big expense of having it painted and restored why not just add some creativity and artwork to it. Those that have already done this are really quite proud of their handiwork. . We must admit they really are an attention getter. Perhaps if this type of artisanship became popular it would qualify to be in a whole category of artistic endeavors on its own.

Nowadays, young men like the strange ringtones to show out their unique and personalize characters. With this trend, more and more strange ringtones appeared, such like: scream, sneer, alarm, gnarr.... Any way, we cannot criticize the ringtones themselves, it is a culture that we should give respect to too. What we need to do is to tell the boys and girls who use these strange ringtones to take care of their ringtones, in some special occasions, these ringtones may not proper and even bring trouble to others.

Staying Safe Around Strange and Aggressive Dogs

The strange dog isn't sure about you either. His adrenalin may be pumping as well. He will be evaluating you; reading your body language. If you understand how the dog might interpret and act upon your body language and facial expressions, you will be in a better position to protect yourself and your children from harm. You must convince the dog that your behavior offers no threat to it.

Consider the following proven techniques:

If you are approached by a strange dog, remain still. If standing, place your arms at your side. Raised arms appear threatening. If you are on the ground, lie face down. In this non-threatening position, the dog will usually sniff at you, lose interest, and leave.
Never turn and run from a strange dog. This is clearly interpreted a fleeing, and you will become the hunted.
Don't smile at the dog. Showing your teeth could be seen, by the dog, as aggressive behavior - ready for a fight.
Never snatch a child up and away from a dog. The dog may see the moving child as a toy and grab at the child. Instead, position yourself between the dog and the child. The dog will view this as protective behavior.
If you wish to voluntarily approach a strange dog, get the owner's permission first. If the owner is not around, do not approach the dog.
Move slowly, casually, and smoothly when approaching a strange dog. The dog may interpret a rapid approach or quick movements as threatening.
Never squat down to a strange dog's level. This is an excellent move when trying to look less intimidating to your own fearful dog. A strange dog, however, might interpret your move as one of subservience.
Never stare directly into the dog's eyes. This is threatening - an invitation to fight. Think of how you've felt in the past when a stranger has stared directly at you.
When approaching a strange dog, form you hand into a loose fist with fingers facing downward. Offer the back of your hand to the dog. Let him sniff. If the dog is calm, slowly turn your hand palm up. Let the dog continue to sniff and nuzzle your hand if he chooses to.
When the dog becomes bored with you, yet remains in the area. Back away slowly until you are in a safe enough position to resume walking away.

Even though the confrontation with a strange dog can be frightening, try to remain calm. If you appear non-threatening, the dog will either indicate that it is friendly toward you or will lose interest and leave you alone.

When involved in routine daily activities, one can't predict a confrontation with a strange or aggressive dog. One can, however, anticipate such a meeting when out for a casual stroll or a walk along a greenway trail. Carrying pepper spray and traveling with a walking stick can provide protection when needed. They should never be the first line of defense; the above non-threatening methods should be used until they prove to be ineffective.

Dr. Strange - Marvel Comics Great Mystical - Occult Champion (and More About Strange Tales Comics)

"Realms Between -- The inter-dimensional exploits of Dr. Stephen Strange."

A Deeper Foundational Beginning Than Previously Imagined.

Dr. Strange was always a good guy Mystical Super Hero type but Dr. Stephen Strange wasn't.

Coming from Atlas Comics (Pre-Marvel -- post Timely) of the 1950's -- the fantasy series by Ditko and Kirby appealed greatly to most of my friends and acquaintances (in my Comic / SF circles) growing up. The natural evolution of this form -- Strange Tales the fantasy comic series-- became Strange Tales the Super Hero series.

Once Thing and Human Torch took over it wasn't long until Dr. Strange became a wondrous back up event. (For me the main course).

But Stan Lee originally called Dr. Strange master of black magic. Unfortunately black magic is evil (consequences of those who practice it are intensely severe ((the evil they do comes back to them at least 3 times -- they can hide but not forever))). Luckily Stan changed Dr. Stephen Strange's nomenclature to The Master of the Mystic Arts.

Stephen Strange was a greedy surgeon who lost his ability to operate on patients after a tragic car accident. He then sought help from the Ancient One living in the Himalayan mountains. Finally he becomes a metaphysical metaphysician.

Dr. Strange's practice of the occult* (it means hidden knowledge*) leads him on many wonderful fun adventures.

Without the inspiration of Steve Ditko and Gene Colan and others Strange would not have been as great as he was and is. Truly a marvelous creation.

The short TV series did not do him justice. (But was better than nothing -- and at some levels it captured a small percentage of the feel of some of the early Dr. Strange comics.

Still if I had a desire it would be to create a Dr. Strange film and bring him to life in a combo of animation, special effects and as an actual live action movie).

Dr. Strange discovered God in Eternity and merged with him (Later the character, Eternity, was cheapened, I feel).

Dr. Strange only practiced White Magic during the 1960's. In the 1990's he practiced techno magic (whatever that is).

The Master of Mystic Arts is a great character. Be sure to start with Ditko's version for full appreciation of this astounding character.

Marvel comic artist Marie Severin says the Kabala (Cabala --Jewish Mystical System) was a source of material for certain issues of Dr. Strange that she worked on.

But what did Stan Lee, Steve Ditko & Gene Colan tap into? What made Marvel & Dr. Strange so great?

Dr. Strange meditates and sits in a lotus position. (Dr. Strange 3rd series #49 see cover and many other issues.)

Dr. Strange and rock stars often hold their hands in the gesture of the anti-evil eye. In sign language it means: "Love." (Probably depends on which hand one holds up).

So if you need advice on where to begin reading or collecting send me an email. I recommend starting with Strange Tales #110 -- 146 (most of) which contain Steve Ditko's original version of Dr. Strange!

Meditation means God Contact in Stillness Deep with focus upon the Divine One (aka) "I die daily."

Side note: There is a Psychic and Mystical side to unusual performances in sports.

Then of course there is the idea and then there is the practice of it. Some things cannot be attained via intellectualizing about it. They must be experienced first hand.

To emulate the teachings of the great masters is superior to preaching about it, obviously. In this world of maya (illusion) where we live -- this then is the battle. Do you choose ego (and the slavery that comes with it) or Spiritualized Soul (that which you really are).

Truth Will Set You Free. Spirit is Truth (naught else is).

The Strange Story of Mickey and Sylvia's "Love Is Strange"

When Mickey & Sylvia released "Love Is Strange" in late 1956, the track became a Top 20 hit the next year; though innovative enough to influence artists like Jimi Hendrix, the song would be the duo's only chart success.

Sharing the composer credit are Mickey Baker, Sylvia Robinson and Ellas McDaniel, better known as Bo Diddley. For many years, however, who wrote "Love Is Strange" had been in dispute. Diddley's guitarist Jody Williams maintained that the roots of "Love Is Strange" lie in a riff he wrote for "Billy's Blues," singer Billy Stewart's debut. Williams claimed he then used the riff when he co-wrote "Love Is Strange" with Diddley. With Williams on lead guitar, Diddley recorded "Love Is Strange" for Chess Records in May 1956.

But before the song was put on vinyl, Williams claimed that Mickey Baker studied his guitar work on "Love Is Strange" at performances from off stage. Back in Chicago at Chess, Williams says he learned why; Bo Diddley told Williams that he had sold the song to Mickey and Sylvia for $2,000, but assured Williams that he would receive writer's royalties.

Mickey "Guitar" Baker was an in-demand session player in 1955 when singer Sylvia Vanderpool, then a struggling singer known as "Little Sylvia," asked Baker for guitar lessons. (Sylvia later became Sylvia Robinson after marrying Joe Robinson.) Baker, 11 years Robinson's senior, came up with the idea for a duo following the success of Les Paul and Mary Ford. On stage the pair dressed elegantly; they both played guitars as they teased each other in song.

In the studio, writes Dave Marsh, producer Bob Rolontz of RCA's Groove Records helped create Mickey & Sylvia's unique sound. "(I)nstead of going in and cutting live, he began to overdub, building up the guitar parts through multitracking and repeated recordings. The staid RCA engineers told Rolontz he was crazy. He told them to shut up. The result is the most polished version of the Bo Diddley beat ever pieced together."

In their biography of Jimi Hendrix, Harry Shapiro and Caesar Glebbeek write that "Love Is Strange" was "one of the most influential songs of the period" for the young Hendrix, then an elementary school student working out songs on an old ukelele with one string found by his father while cleaning out someone's garage. Hendrix's brother Leon said that after Hendrix heard Mickey Baker's single-string solo, "he really started to look for some outlet, playing songs and figuring out things on one string."

Mickey & Sylvia formally broke up by the late 1950s but would occasionally record together until 1965. Guitarist Jody Williams, at Chess' urging, went to court in 1957 claiming "Love Is Strange" was copied from "Billy's Blues." Williams lost the case in 1961 and never again spoke to Diddley, who has said he too never received any royalties for the song.

Fish Oil For Depression Strange But True

I ultimately began getting help for depression, and it did the trick alright. For a while at least. I got my life back together, patched up a lot of friendships, and started dating my future husband. But underneath it all, I knew something was still wrong. When we got the news that we were having a baby, I knew the risks of post partum depression, but I figured since I'd survived such a major depressive episode I could take it.

'll bet you can probably guess how well that went for me.

Another hospitalization, a massive strain on my marriage, and two weeks away from my baby boy later, I swore to myself that I would never let something like this happen again. So when I found out a few years later that #2 was on his way, I just knew I couldn't wait around and let depression sneak up on me again.

Counseling alone just wasn't doing enough, so my counselor put me the number for a psychiatrist. I went to his office expecting to have to haggle him down on the dosage of an anti-depressant to cut down on the risk to my baby, but he shocked me. He explained he'd read about a fish oil study that suggested it has mood stabilizing effects for women and adolescents with mild to moderate depression. Seeing as I wasn't in the middle of a crisis, and we didn't want to take any unneccesary risks with the baby, we decided to try it out.

Long story short, it worked. Within two weeks, I was already feeling an improvement and the feeling went on all the way through to the birth and beyond. No baby blues, no depression. What really made me happy, though, was the knowledge that there were no detrimental side effects for me or the baby. As a matter of fact, the other benefits of fish oils are well accepted. DHA supplements are believed to help with eye and brain development for infants before and after birth, and DHA and EPA have proven benefits for cardiovascular health.

I know this probably won't work for everybody, but in all my talks with other people with depression we shared one concern: are the side-effects worth the cure? Anti-depressants can be really useful for some people, but they involve a number of risks that are very bad for the people who get hit with them. Using fish oil for depression, the only thing I've ever run into personally is side benefits. I'm not a doctor, and I certainly can't give anyone medical advice. I can only give you my story. In my experience, this helped, and I hope that if you're suffering from the same issues I did, you'll talk to your doctor about all your choices.

Montreal The Strange City

My Granddaughter was getting into the College. McGill is in the City of Montreal. I was reluctant to say goodbye, and a journey to settle her in seemed proper at the time. This excuse was why and how I acquired there.re.

My two week remain manufactured me drop in really like, so madly, that I returned a couple of weeks later to go to once more. So let me notify you about this enjoyable site.

Montreal is an Island. The mountain presides in the middle which may be referred to as a mountain, but have confidence in me when I say it is more of a big hill. OH! But what a hill. Trees, walking paths, flowers, a look out, with the most stunning view of the total town as far as the St. Lawrence river, a lake, and so much a lot more that words alone can't explain it. Montreal is a city of magnificent churches, a well known port, and a town of shops, theaters, and dining establishments neatly concealed underground.

Did I mention foods? The restaurants and great foods in this town is as great as it gets. Next to Paris, practically nothing is similar. They are popular for a smoked meat sandwich and the greatest is eaten at Schwartz\'s Deli on the Major. This is a modest, overly crowded put, the place you will find a waiting line a block lengthy, most every single day, all day prolonged. A different landmark is a steak house called Moishe\'s with a rib steak of unforgettable style and extra\'s equally as delectable. The well-known French Canadian meals is outstanding. Apart from the effectively recognized Onion soup, Split pea soup is the indescribable flavors of a meat pie referred to as Tourtiere Pie. Montreal is a huge cosmopolitan Town and a residence to two languages, French and English, along with each and every other diverse ethnic cultures and languages. A town at ease with its people and cultures.

Strange and Fascinating Bird Facts

One example is the albatross. Most birds, in order to stay afloat in the air, have to constantly flap their wings. This, as you might expect, burns a great deal of energy. The albatross, however, is one of the few exceptions. It is an ocean bird and spends most of its time above the open ocean searching for food. The air above the ocean is unique in that the wind is blowing constantly. The albatross has learned to take advantage of these wind currents and ride them expertly. A second example is the hummingbird. When you ask someone to name an animal that hibernates, the first animal that comes to the mind of most people is bears. Even while resting, its heartbeat has been measured at anywhere from 250 to 480 beats a minute. The building is a man of engineering. But what about the arts? Here's a couple of strange buildings that separates itself from the package.

In my visits I've come across more strange structures which can only ask, "what they were thinking/smoking/try?" for some people, planning a masterpiece and marriage with structural posts are a great way to earn a living.

Don't believe me? Then how can explain the following exotic buildings?

San Francisco furniture House located a little weird building element VI and Howard, since 1997, many furniture run amuck along the sides.
