Scientists Discover Candidate Occupancy After Planet Earth
Scientists Discover Candidate Occupancy After Planet Earth The scientists claimed that they had found a planet potentially habitable for humans, because it may have air.Seperti quoted from TheHindu , the scientists say that the planets are called exoplanets, Gliese 581g, located trillions of miles from Earth and orbits the star in the belt of Goldilocks.
Research published in the Astrophysical Journal, stating that the planet may hold water on its surface.
"Our discovery offers an important metaphor for the case of potential residential planet," said Steven Vogt, a professor of astronomy and astrophysics from the University of California.
The discovery was the result of hard work for 11 years around the small star Gliese 581, using spectometer Hires at Keck I telescope, by a team from the University of California by the Carnegie Institution of Washington.
"There are around two planets around the star Gliese 581. While the planet Gliese 581g has a mass about four times the Earth and its orbital period is approximately 37 days.
From the mass of Gliese 581g, it is estimated that the planet has a rocky conditions, as well as sufficient gravity to the atmosphere.
