Flowering cacti, herbal teas, homemade cookies or embroidered scarves are all personal statements. Books are always a well-received gift, particularly if they are by a favorite author and more so if they are autographed.

If you run out of ideas and find yourself desperate, find a dance class or exercise class to give as a gift. Most people will find these gifts unique and a great outlet for exercise that they might not otherwise do.
